McAllen Memorial had won six straight games and Jayden Soliz did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Mustangs came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 26-21 W against the Palmview Lobos thanks in part to Soliz, who rushed for 198 yards and three scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 152 rushing yards.

McAllen Memorial's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Palmview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Looking ahead, McAllen Memorial will face off against Harlingen South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
