Soccer Recap: Field's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Fairview last Wednesday, Field came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the West Branch Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Mitch Adams was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Luke Lonzrick and Nathan Fulks scored both of Field's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Field's loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for West Branch, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Field does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Branch, they will welcome Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Branch's defense better be ready for this one: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season.
