Softball Recap: Northgate Beats Langston Hughes for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Northgate waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Langston Hughes Panthers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Vikings' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

The team relied heavily on Ava Bennett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

Northgate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive games.

Northgate's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Langston Hughes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
