Wellsboro waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Cowanesque Valley Indians 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wellsboro was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-12.

Blake Eckart paced Wellsboro's offense, picking up 11 kills. Eckart got some help from Ellie Largey and her 18 assists. Peyton Keane controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wellsboro's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Cowanesque Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wellsboro is set to challenge their familiar foe Williamson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cowanesque Valley will square off against rival Athens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
