Volleyball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Brighton lost against Irondequoit back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bruins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Leah Greco, who had nine digs and three aces.

Brighton has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season. As for Irondequoit, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Brighton will head out to square off against Churchville-Chili at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Irondequoit, they will square off against Wayne at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
