Soccer Game Preview: Forest vs. Newton County + How To Watch

The Forest Bearcats will venture away from home to face off against the Newton County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Forest took a six-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Pearl, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bearcats' defense stepped up to hand the Pirates a 1-0 shutout back in November. The win made it back-to-back victories for Forest.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Newton County's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pass Christian on Saturday. Newton County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Newton County's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2. As for Forest, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Forest suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Newton County in their previous matchup back in November of 2021. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
