On Thursday, Purvis made easy work of Stone and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Tomcats: they've now won three in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Purvis was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Presbyterian Christian got the win against Clinton on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Purvis' win bumped their record up to 29-5. As for Presbyterian Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
