Softball Game Recap: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Ulysses Tigers

Cimarron's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Ulysses Tigers get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Quinn Campbell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Brenna Hayes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kinlee Simon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Cimarron picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Ulysses, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Cimarron will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
