Football Game Preview: Marist War Eagles vs. Tucker Tigers + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in James Lasco and Jace German are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Marist War Eagles will face off against the Tucker Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marist is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Marist's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Lithonia's usually-dominant defense. The War Eagles claimed a resounding 42-10 win over the Bulldogs. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Parks Kaiser was his usual excellent self, rushing for 98 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Caden Scruggs also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Meanwhile, Tucker earned a 28-17 victory over St. Pius X Catholic on Friday.

Tucker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Andre Blackburn and Christian Ema. Tucker received some extra help from Amontae Briggs, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Tucker, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Marist against Tucker when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-22 win. In that contest, the War Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 53-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
