Volleyball Game Preview: Deerfield Beach Bucks vs. Monarch Knights

The Deerfield Beach Bucks will head out on the road to take on the Monarch Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Deerfield Beach is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Western. The Bucks haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-11.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Monarch's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Pompano Beach.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-9, 23-25, 25-13.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Deerfield Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Deerfield Beach beat Monarch 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Deerfield Beach since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
