Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Harrisburg

Harrisburg hadn't done well against Frankfort recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Redbirds by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Redbirds back in September, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

While Harrisburg might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Frankfort scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Emma Mills paced Harrisburg's offense, picking up six kills. Mills were helped by Emma Morse and McKendra Douglas, who contributed five assists each. Jamisen Green controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Harrisburg pushed their record up to 13-17 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Frankfort, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-20.

Harrisburg and Frankfort could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Bulldogs will take on Murphysboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (432 vs. 208). Meanwhile, Frankfort (ranked 446th) will meet Benton (ranked 168th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
