Baseball Game Preview: DuPont Tigers vs. Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles

DuPont hasn't had much luck against Hodgson Vo-Tech recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. DuPont has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

DuPont lost 16-4 to Odyssey Charter on Tuesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DuPont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julius Ramos, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Ramos brought in this season. Another was Bryan Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Hodgson Vo-Tech posted their closest victory since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Middletown 7-6. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Cavaliers on their field since May 7, 2019.

Hodgson Vo-Tech's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for DuPont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
