Baseball Recap: Kiski Area Comes Up Short

Kiski Area fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Greater Latrobe on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Dimitri Spagnola was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was John Deluca, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base.

Kiski Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Greater Latrobe, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Kiski Area by a score of 6-4 later that day.
