Softball Recap: West Ouachita Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Ouachita can now relate to. They fell just short of the Dutchtown Griffins by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The shutout was out of character for the Chiefs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

West Ouachita moved to 20-16 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Dutchtown, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

While West Ouachita had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
