Basketball Recap: Slidell Beats Mandeville for Their Fourth Straight Win + How To Watch

Slidell waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Mandeville Skippers 61-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Slidell was led to victory by Jalen Lucas and Colby Faciane. Lucas went 5-for-7 to rack up 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Faciane dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Lucas' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Jerry Birdlow was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Slidell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Slidell's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mandeville, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slidell will face off against Warren Easton at 5:10 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mandeville, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
