San Pedro is 9-1 against Banning since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The San Pedro Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the Banning Pilots at 4:30 p.m. San Pedro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Banning likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, San Pedro was fully in charge, breezing past Carson 76-33. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Colts are ranked 894th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Banning got the win against Maywood Academy on Monday by a conclusive 54-29.

San Pedro's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. As for Banning, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

San Pedro strolled past Banning in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 73-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Pedro since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
