Basketball Recap: Hampton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against StoneBridge on Friday, Hampton Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Warriors took a blow against the Walsingham Academy Trojans on Saturday, falling 77-42. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Hampton Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Miller, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 13 points. Miller is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 58% in the last three games he's played. Jonas Bass was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hampton Christian Academy fell to 3-1. As for Walsingham Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hampton Christian Academy will face off against Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walsingham Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Greenbrier Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
