Branson Smith put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in June of 2025 on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Smith and Acalanes will face off against Coronado at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dons will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 394 places lower in their respective states), but they're not letting that get them down.
