Softball Recap: Southampton Takes a Loss

After flying high against John Marshall on Monday, Southampton came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Lunenburg Central Chargers on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Southampton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Lunenburg Central, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Southampton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 22-0 win against Sussex Central on the 1st. As for Lunenburg Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Buckingham on the 1st.
