Basketball Recap: Hollywood Comes Up Short

Hollywood and Legacy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hollywood had to settle for second. They fell 65-54 to the Legacy Tigers. The Sheiks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Martinez, who posted 27 points. Legacy is undefeated when Martinez posts 20 or more points, but 6-20 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Diego Escobedo, who scored 18 points.

Hollywood now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Legacy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-20.

Hollywood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-70 win against San Fernando on the 25th.
