Softball Recap: Franklin Cougars vs. Pebble Hills Spartans

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pebble Hills Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-12 back in March.

Layla Heredia made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ariana Carrera, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 14-20. As for Pebble Hills, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-13-1.

As of now, neither Franklin nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
