Basketball Game Preview: Chattahoochee Cougars vs. Roswell Hornets

The Chattahoochee Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Roswell Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chattahoochee lost 44-18 to Lanier on Tuesday. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Chattahoochee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gracyn Campbell posted five points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards set a new season-high mark for Campbell.

Even though they lost, Chattahoochee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Roswell beat Cambridge 36-28 on Tuesday.

Chattahoochee now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Chattahoochee was taken down by Roswell 67-34 in their previous matchup back in November of 2018. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Chattahoochee was down 33-11.
