There's no place like home for Southampton Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 71-44 win over the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Southampton Academy's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from A Darden, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Darden a new career-high. Another player making a difference was G Applewhite, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds.

Southampton Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Southampton Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Veritas School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
