Volleyball Recap: Fort Recovery Indians vs. Jay County Patriots

If Fort Recovery was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Arcanum on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell 3-1 to the Jay County Patriots on Tuesday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-23, 12-25, 25-15, 25-19.

Cameron Muhlenkamp paced Fort Recovery's offense, picking up 11 kills. Muhlenkamp got some help from Kayden Ranly and her 38 assists. Bridget Homan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Jay County can attribute much of their success to Carley Trinidad, who had ten digs and two aces. Those ten digs gave Trinidad a new career-high.

Fort Recovery now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jay County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Recovery will venture away from home to challenge Parkway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jay County, they will face off against Wapahani at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
