Basketball Recap: Bishop Snyder Comes Up Short

Bishop Snyder was the 66-39 winner over Ribault when they last played one another back in January of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop Snyder Cardinals lost 58-33 to the Ribault Trojans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Trojans are ranked 45th).

Ribault's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb McDuffie, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Toure, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Bishop Snyder has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Ribault, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Bishop Snyder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-55 loss against Mainland on the 11th. As for Ribault, they will host First Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ribault is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.
