Baseball Recap: Grovetown Takes a Loss

The Grovetown Warriors came up short against the Newton Rams on Monday, falling 9-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grovetown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Grovetown's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Newton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

While Grovetown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
