Basketball Game Preview: Gentry Pioneers vs. Lincoln Wolves

The Gentry Pioneers will challenge the Lincoln Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gentry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge.

Gentry is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pea Ridge just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Friday. They lost to the Blackhawks on the road by a 78-64 margin.

Meanwhile, Lincoln unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Osceola. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Wolves still had to take the loss.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Gentry, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Gentry barely slipped by Lincoln when the teams last played back in December of 2021, winning 49-48. Will Gentry repeat their success, or does Lincoln have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
