Columbine came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Valor Christian Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Columbine's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Valor Christian, they moved to 15-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Columbine beat the Eagles by a score of 12-2 later that day.
