Softball Game Preview: Blue Ridge Knights vs. Villa Grove Blue Devils

Blue Ridge is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will host the Villa Grove Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Blue Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Hayward, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Another was Addison Roos, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Meanwhile, Villa Grove lost 11-1 to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on Thursday. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Villa Grove's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Blue Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
