Volleyball Game Preview: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats

The Cobden Appleknockers will head out on the road to square off against the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cobden is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Egyptian. The win was some much needed relief for the Appleknockers as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Cobden easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Carrier Mills-Stonefort was able to grind out a solid victory over Joppa-Maple Grove on Tuesday, taking the game 2-0.

Cobden's record is now 15-16. As for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, their record now sits at 15-11.

Cobden came up short against Carrier Mills-Stonefort when the teams last played back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Appleknockers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
