Volleyball Recap: Eastland Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastland can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Galena Pirates on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Trixie Carroll paced Eastland's offense, picking up 13 kills. Carroll got some help from Keara Kaus and her 17 assists.

Eastland's defeat dropped their record down to 27-11. As for Galena, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 30-6.

Eastland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Galena, they will face off against Aurora Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
