Basketball Game Preview: Pike Central Chargers vs. Southridge Raiders

Pike Central and Southridge are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Pike Central Chargers will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Southridge Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pike Central, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Southridge's (thus far) undefeated season.

Last Saturday, Pike Central took a blow against Forest Park, falling 89-24.

Nate Davis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 17 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Southridge earned a 34-23 win over South Knox on Friday.

Pike Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southridge, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Pike Central couldn't quite finish off Southridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 46-44. Can Pike Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
