Baseball Recap: Eupora Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nanih Waiya last Thursday, Eupora came back down to earth. Eupora came up short against the Houston Hilltoppers on Saturday, falling 14-4. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Hilltoppers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Eupora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Crimm, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Eupora is 2-1 when Crimm posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

Eupora has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. The win was the third in a row for Houston, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Eupora will welcome Sebastopol at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebastopol will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Eupora surely won't give up without a fight. As for Houston, they will take on Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Clinton's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Houston's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
