Football Game Preview: Adna Pirates vs. Pe Ell/Willapa Valley

The Adna Pirates will take on Pe Ell/Willapa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adna is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Adna's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Ilwaco 49-0. The contest marked the Pirates' most dominant win of the season.

Beau Miller had a dynamite game, rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Another back making a difference was Naillon Ramirez, who rushed for 68 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Adna didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Ilwaco to a completion percentage of just 34.5%. The Pirates hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.5 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against Napavine, falling 34-0. The game marked the first time this year in which Pe Ell/Willapa Valley was not able to get on the board.

Adna's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Pe Ell/Willapa Valley, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Adna strolled past Pe Ell/Willapa Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 14-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
