James F. Byrnes won against Spartanburg last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Rebels simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Boiling Springs Bulldogs 42-14. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

It was another big night for Tre Segarra, who rushed for 93 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and one TD. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because James F. Byrnes is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Aidyn Wiggins was in the mix as well, providing the Rebels with one touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to James F. Byrnes' defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Jonathan Montgomery got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

James F. Byrnes' win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Boiling Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

James F. Byrnes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boiling Springs, they will head out to square off against Mauldin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 27.2 points per game this season.
