Apalachee came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the East Jackson Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Apalachee got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-15, 17-25, 15-10.

Apalachee's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for East Jackson, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Apalachee and East Jackson will both be playing Prince Avenue Christian the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
