Football Recap: Glades Day Takes Down Canterbury in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glades Day had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Canterbury Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 33-19. The Gators didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Zeth Villarreal threw for 108 yards and one TD. Jacaris Jones was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and one score.

Despite the defeat, Canterbury saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Banner Brockington rushed for 187 yards and one touchdown.

Glades Day's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Canterbury, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Glades Day will take on Rocky Bayou Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
