Basketball Recap: Conroe Beats Huntsville for Their Third Straight Victory

Conroe had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They skirted past the Huntsville Hornets 58-56. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 873rd, while the Hornets are ranked 194th).

Conroe has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Huntsville, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conroe won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Randle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Huntsville, they will welcome Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
