Football Game Preview: Fieldston Eagles vs. Dalton Tigers

The Fieldston Eagles will square off against the Dalton Tigers on Saturday. Fieldston hasn't scored more than seven points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Fieldston took on Riverdale Country on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Falcons, falling 27-7.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Connor Wolfson, who picked up 87 receiving yards and one score. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards.

Meanwhile, Dalton ended up a good deal behind Hopkins on Saturday and lost 21-6. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 480th in New York, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 138th in Connecticut).

Fieldston's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Dalton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Fieldston and Dalton were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, but Fieldston came up empty-handed after a 14-13 loss. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
