Soccer Game Preview: Edgewood vs. Workman

The Edgewood Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Workman Lobos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Edgewood's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Edgewood didn't have quite enough to beat Ganesha and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Workman fell victim to Pomona and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Red Devils, falling 11-0. Workman have struggled against Pomona recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Workman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Edgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Everything went Edgewood's way against Workman when the teams last played back in January of 2025, as Edgewood made off with an 18-0 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Lobos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
