Basketball Recap: Ontario Takes a Loss

Ontario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaffey Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1287th, while the Tigers are ranked 527th).

Ontario's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Chaffey, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ontario Jaguars challenge the Diamond Ranch Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ontario is facing Diamond Ranch at the right time seeing as Diamond Ranch is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chaffey, they are taking a road trip to challenge Chino at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chino knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Chaffey likes a good challenge.
