Volleyball Game Preview: Columbia Wildcats vs. Hobgood Charter Raiders

The Columbia Wildcats will take on the Hobgood Charter Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia will be strutting in after a victory while Hobgood Charter will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Columbia turned things around against Mattamuskeet on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Lakers 3-2.

Columbia was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-15, 15-7.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Hobgood Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bear Grass Charter by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hobgood Charter sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-10.

Hobgood Charter now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
