Basketball Game Preview: West Caldwell Warriors vs. Lincolnton Wolves

The West Caldwell Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Lincolnton Wolves at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. West Caldwell is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

West Caldwell is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Maiden on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. West Caldwell was dealt a 60-26 loss at the hands of Maiden. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-44, which was the final score in Lincolnton's tilt against Bandys on Friday. The Wolves have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

West Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Lincolnton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

West Caldwell came up short against Lincolnton in their previous meeting back in January, falling 38-29. Can West Caldwell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
