Volleyball Recap: Denver North Vikings vs. Grand Junction Tigers
Denver North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Junction Tigers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Denver North was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.
Summer Treiber paced Denver North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Treiber got some help from Morelia Rodriguez and her eight assists. Treiber was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Denver North's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Grand Junction, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
