Basketball Recap: Rifle Takes a Loss

Rifle lost against Coal Ridge back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears were outmatched by the Titans and fell 82-48. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coal Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Diego Gamez, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 11 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. That's the most boards Gamez has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Parker, who had 12 points and four steals.

Rifle now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Coal Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Rifle and Middle Park will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Coal Ridge, they and DSST: Montview will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
