Baseball Recap: Asheville T Comes Up Short

Asheville T was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Upstate Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-10 on Saturday.

Asheville T saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Flowers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Flowers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Joel Kissinger also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Asheville T's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Upstate, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Asheville T didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-4 victory against Statesville Christian on the 17th. As for Upstate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-7 win against Anderson C on the 17th.
