Baseball Game Preview: Hall Red Devils vs. Ottawa Pirates

Hall has won nine straight games at home, while Ottawa has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Red Devils will welcome the Pirates at 11:00 a.m. Hall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Hall easily dispatched Erie-Prophetstown on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Red Devils fell just short of East Moline United by a score of 5-3 on Saturday.

Hall got a good showing from Jimmie Jablonski, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Jablonski didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

On the hitting side, Hall saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Geno Ferrari, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Ottawa hadn't beaten Geneseo on the road since May 4, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Pirates came out on top against the Maple Leafs by a score of 7-4.

Hall's loss dropped their record down to 23-10-1. As for Ottawa, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11-1.
