Softball Recap: North Branch Broncos vs. Richmond Blue Devils
North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-3 to the Richmond Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Tuesday.
North Branch saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Franklin (2028), who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Addison Cobb (2026), who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
North Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Richmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.
North Branch will be playing at home against Millington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Richmond, they will head out on the road to square off against Croswell-Lexington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
