Basketball Game Preview: Navajo Pine Warriors vs. Ramah Mustangs

The Navajo Pine Warriors will head out to take on the Ramah Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Navajo Pine lost to Pine Hill on the road by a 54-37 margin. Navajo Pine hasn't had much luck with Pine Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Riley Dawes, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylea Jumbo, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Ramah waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Dine Warriors out 52-50.

Navajo Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Ramah, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Navajo Pine took a serious blow against Ramah in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 72-24. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Navajo Pine was down 36-12.
