Volleyball Recap: Layla Trammel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Park Tudor over Lawrence Central

If Park Tudor was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Victory College Prep on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Lawrence Central Bears on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2015.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-27, 25-14, 25-12.

Park Tudor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Layla Trammel, who had 11 digs and two assists.

Park Tudor's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Lawrence Central, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 12-16.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Park Tudor will face off against Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawrence Central, after both having extra time off, they and North Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 11:00 a.m. on the 18th.
